Quick honest version: dyed film is the budget option that fades. Carbon is the middle ground with decent heat rejection and no fading. Nano-ceramic is the one we recommend for Southern California, because heat is the whole problem here.

California is strict about front side windows: they must let at least 70% of light through. Rear windows can go as dark as you want, limo included.
