Heat comes from infrared, not from how dark the film looks, which is why a cheap dark tint still leaves the cabin baking on Coast Highway in August.
Nano-ceramic blocks the infrared itself. The car heats up slower while parked, the AC catches up faster, and on an EV you stop spending battery just to cool the seats down.

Salt air settles on everything parked within a mile of the harbor, and the low bounce of afternoon light off the water is its own kind of glare, the kind sunglasses handle but your windshield does not. A quality ceramic film knocks the glare down without making the glass mirror-dark, and the 99% UV cut is what keeps a tan interior from going chalky by its third summer outside.

The studio is in Santa Ana, about twenty minutes up the 55 from most of Newport Beach. Film work needs a dust-controlled indoor bay, and a driveway install by the water is how specks and peeling edges happen. Most of our Newport customers drop the car in the morning and have it back the same day.

A full car is usually a few hours and most cars go home the same day. A glass roof or windshield makes it most of a day. Book ahead and the bay is ready when you arrive.
Salt does not touch the film itself, but it is exactly why film earns its keep near the harbor. Tint lives on the inside of the glass, sealed away from the air. PPF takes the salt and grime on its own surface instead of your clear coat, and a normal wash takes it right off.
Noticeably. Glare off the water is reflected light hitting low and flat, worst on PCH in the late afternoon. Ceramic film takes the edge off through the side glass at any shade, and a legal windshield strip handles the top of the view without touching the driving zone.
